And now for something completely different...
Greatest movie quote about flying. Ever.
"Do you know what the 1st rule of flying is?
Love.
You can know all the math in the 'verse, you take a boat up in the air that you don't love she'll shake you off just as sure as the turnin' of worlds.
Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tell you she's hurtin 'fore she keels.
Makes her a home."
-Capt. Malcolm Reynolds
from "Serenity", written by Joss Whedon.
Yeah, I'm a big sap. I just bought the movie (from the 'previously viewed' shelf, of course) and watched it. Again. Already saw it in the theatres.
Firefly was quite possibly Joss Whedon's best work. While the movie was a sad final note in a beautiful series, it still makes you wonder 'what if we could do that'?
I love this kind of stuff :)
